Vivillon Habitat Regions & Map for Pokémon GO

Vivillon comes in 18 different patterns, each tied to a real-world habitat. To complete the Vivillon Collector medal you'll need to collect Postcards from friends around the globe — which is exactly where friend codes come in.

How Vivillon patterns work

In Pokémon GO, your Vivillon pattern is determined by the habitats of the Postcards in your collection. Postcards arrive on gifts sent by friends, and each gift is tagged with the location of the PokéStop or Gym it came from. Collect enough Postcards from a habitat and you can catch the matching Vivillon.

The single best way to unlock far-away patterns is to add friends in other countries and continents, then open the gifts they send. Each gift's Postcard counts toward the habitat it was collected in.
